The Cecily Scarf is made from merino wool so fine that it packs down into the palm of your hand, but still expands to keep your throat warm or even become a balaclava, for exceptionally cold days. The single piece construction also does its bit to keep out the cold.
This is a must for early morning joggers and walkers. Cyclists like it because it's thin enough to go under a bike helmet.
The fabric for the Cecily scarf was developed in New Zealand for mountain climbers, but was discontinued. The Cecily company has nabbed the fabric exclusively for its wonderful Cecily scarves, and beanies (Gordon Warmers) . And we're all the warmer for it.
