The World Globe by Atmosphere is a 30cm diameter object of educational beauty. It's the only globe that you can pick up and put back with Australia on the top of the world. Capital cities are easily identified, and because this is a 2010 release, the details are up to date. Ouagoudougou is no longer the capital of Upper Volta. You'll need this to work out why.
Atmosphere is a new company specialising in globes of the world. Co-designer Kristoffer Zeuthen is a Dane who spent years living and working in Melbourne. His globe is from aluminium with rubber base. It's made in Italy.
Crucial trivia : whilst the Danes and their fellow Vikings were amongst history's greatest seafarers, they weren't cartographers, and didn't produce a single map. Until now.
