The Lamy Dialog 3 is the world's first twist action retractable fountain pen. Twist, and the nib emerges. Another twist and the nib retracts. The fountain pen can go safely into a breast or jacket pocket. There's no leaking because the nib is upside down, and a little ball valve moves to close the opening on retraction.
The Lamy Dialogue 3's minimalism is also aided by the retraction of the clip when the nib's in action. It's the creation of the great Swiss designer Franco Clivio who also did the mighty Pico (the world's best small pen, according to us) for Lamy.
The Pen has a palladium finish, a medium point 14kt duo coloured gold nib. It has a cartridge refill provided, but comes with a converter for the use of bottled ink.
Needless to say, the Lamy Dialogue 3 is a worthy and valuable accessory for anyone in the habit of signing contracts and documents of value. And it's a great pleasure to use.
