The Pipe Table Lamp looks ravishing and literally works brilliantly. It offers brilliant LED light, and its baton-like light section clicks away for use as a portable torch with its own on/off switch and a two hour life.
The Pipe rotates 10degrees to the left or right. It has a light touch on/off switch at the base of the stem. The light is of the clean bright LED type which gives no multiple shadows.
This isn't just a beautiful object. Its green credentials are strong : LED lighting uses only half the energy of a fluorescent tube, and only a quarter of the power used by a halogen globe. It's a product of the Taiwanese LED light company Justled. Taiwan is a world leader in this type of technology partly because of government financial initiatives to encourage LED use, manufacture, and export.
For all that, there's no escaping one single obvious thing : The Pipe Lamp is gorgeous.
