The Tantamount Perth (and Western Australian) Calendar 2012 is the definitive Sandgroper guide to 2012. It's totally parochial in a loving caring way, and differs from other calendars because of its focus on important Western Australian dates such as local school terms, public holidays and Dennis Cometti's birthday.
The Tantamount Calendar is also very funny. Each Month features an image from Tantamount's cult collection of WA characters including The Gosnells Mum, and The Chair Sniffer. There's also useful information such as how to drive the Perth way, and air conditioning tips from the Premier.
It's all the creation of West Australian comedian, writer and satirist Alex Manfrin. As a physical impressionist he confuses serious audiences everywhere in his roles of John How-Odd and Kevin Bloody Rudd
Life can be confusing. The Tantamount Calendar 2012 at least helps you get the date right. And chuckle.
