Tala Retro Cook's Measure Cone
The Tala Retro Cook's Dry Measure Cone is a kitchen classic is for measuring dry kitchen ingredients by volume. It has imperial and metric measures, and measures English and American cups. There are markings for flour, sugar, sultanas, oats, cocoa and a host of other ingredients – not forgetting tapioca.
This is the original - the very measure that can claim 'as used by Aussie Grandmas' . Right down to the embargo on washing it because it's still made from tinplate. Importantly, if you know what the Golden Wattle or CWA Cookbook is, then you need this.
The Tala brand is British and has been since 1899. It's currently under the custodianship of George East Housewares of Suffolk, but still hand made on the same machinery since the 1920s (making of each one is overseen by either Brenda or Maureen). A Tala Dry Measure Cone really is the best of British.
