Scrabble Fridge Magnet Set
The Scrabble Fridge Magnet Set is a precise replica of the famous original– except it will stick to your fridge. Perpendicular Scrabble ! And it also holds down reminder notes and shopping lists.
The set is made under license by celebrated British design company Wild and Wolf. There's an identical number of letters to an original Scrabble set – exactly 100 letters heavy cardboard letters of wooden appearance. This magnetic set has an extra twelve tiles for the double words, triple letters, and other spots normally found on a Scrabble Board.
Scrabble was invented in 1938 by American Alfred M. Butts, and has changed little in the years since. It was the first word game to be inducted into USA's National Toy Hall of Fame.
Curiously, the world's largest Scrabble club is in Jerusalem. English isn't even the official language of Israel – most commonly heard are Hebrew or Arabic. It says a lot of the power of Scrabble, that the Jerusalem Scrabble Club has no Sephardi versus Ashkenazi squabbles, or Arabs versus Jew. They argue over whether to have air conditioning or not.
Even if the Scrabble Fridge Magnet Set doesn't deliver domestic peace to adults at your place, anything that helps youngsters to spell can't be a bad thing.
