Featherball is one of the world's widest played sports. And one of the sneakiest ways of exercising whilst having fun.
Sometimes called Asian Hackysack, it's played by hitting or (more commonly) kicking an over-sized feathery shuttlecock. Rules and names depend on the country you're in, but the fun remains the same.
China's version of Featherball is known as Jianzi, and in the Philippines it was the national sport under the name Sipa until 2009. In other countries, it's called Da Cau (Vietnam), Jeigi (Korea) and Capteh (Malaysia). Rules vary, and sometimes no rules are perfectly OK too.
In faraway Brazil, this is widely played under the name Peteca. In the world's greatest soccer country, they play it with their hands like volleyball. Strange !
Our Ukick Featherball can be adjusted for more airtime (perhaps to help younger players) by unscrewing one of the disks at its base.
Much of the world has been playing this game for centuries. It's thoroughly pre-tested for your health and happiness.
