Hackit is a tool for fine mincing. It's the quickest easiest way to speed up cooking, and bring an end to lumps in mince. It's also the easiest mincer/masher to clean.
Hackit was invented for Italian and Mexican, and it's really helpful for mashed potatoes and veggies, BUT it is absolutely wondrous for the mighty Asian dishes that use mince – such as Sang Choi Bow, Larb, Szechuan's signature Dan Dan Noodles, and Korea's Bibimbap. This is helpful for Italian, but for minced Asian dishes where fineness matters (notably pork) Hackit is King (ok, Emperor)
Surprisingly, this is a Scandinavian phenomenon. It was invented in Norway in 2012. By the end of 2014, it had sold 500,000 units in Scandinavia alone. Australian businessman Stephen Damen saw it when on holiday in Norway and made a handshake agreement with its co-creators (Vegard Ertvaag and Hans Kotthaus) to distribute Hackit in Australia from 2015 – before the USA had even heard of it.
Don't think this is a gadget - something that you spend more time finding and cleaning than using. Hackit is the real deal. For cooks of Asian food, this isn't just a time saver, it's the way to better food.
And (amazingly ?)... Hackit is manufactured in Australia
