Hug Salt & Pepper Shakers are one of the biggest selling items ever at the Museum of Modern Art's Design Store. In a world where the nasty stuff is highlighted so much, it's good to have little porcelain monuments to friendship on your table. Hug Salt & Pepper Shakers are porcelain, and are the creation of designer Albert Mantilla – in 2002 he co-founded the Manhattan design studio Mint Inc before creating his much copied shakers. A panel of his peers noted that the Hug Salt & Pepper Shakers proved that "designers can create delight."
