Lexon Flip Alarm Clock
Lexon Flip Clock is a foolproof alarm clock. When the alarm is on, the top of the clock says ON, and the alarm time is visible in the bottom right hand corner. When the alarm is not on, the reverse OFF side is simply faced upwards.
Similarly, when the alarm is sounding, its simply turned over to silence. It’s clever and simple – no radio, or tricky sound effects. It just tells the time and makes it obvious whether it’s set or not. Oh, and has a devastatingly annoying crescendo beep alarm that goes for ages.
Lexon is a German design house, but their Flip Clock is designed by British brothers Jeremy and Adrian Wright. They’ve won awards for everything from kitchen timers to bathroom door handles...and this. Jeremy Wright observed of his alarm that it “avoids finding a small button in the dark”.
He fails to boast that the rubber casing has a wonderfully reassuring feel when held. Other features include a choice of 12hr or 24hr display format, an easy to use five minute snooze function, and a touch sensor LCD backlight to check the time in the middle of the night.
The Lexon Flip Alarm Clock has a cheap but sincere non-celebrity endorsement – The Good Storekeeper uses it.
