Helen Kaminski Provence Hat

Helen Kaminski's hats are an Australian worldwide legend. Helen created her first hats in Sydney in the 1970s. They were the first utility hats that actually looked good. That big black hat worn by Andie McDowell in "Four Weddings and a Funeral" was a Kaminski.

These are not cheap straw hats. Kaminski hats are made from raffia which lasts about forty years longer. The Provence style is the absolute Kaminski classic. You can wear it on a picnic, and wear it with heels to a garden party. It looks good at Rottnest, fits in at the races, and it's beautiful on a summer day down south.

Helen Kaminski hats are one size fits all, will last for years, and return to original shape again and again after wetting, reshaping by hand, and drying in the sun. Size can be individually tailored using the raffia draw string. It also rolls up for easy travel, and springs back afterwards.

The Provence 12 differs from the Provence 8 only in the size of the brim – the larger one has a 12cm brim, whilst the smaller has an 8cm brim. The Good Store thinks that either is a statement in unpretentious beauty.

Helen Kaminski hats are made in Madagascar - home of 4000 varieties of butterfly. And the best summer hats.
