Mastrad's Orka Flex Oven Mitt is the safest and easiest way to extract a roast from a hot oven. It fits either hand, comes on and off more easily than other gloves.
The Good Store reckons that this is the best oven mitt you can get . This is the Original Orka. It's 28cm long, gives protection beyond the wrist and is brilliant around barbeques and ovens. It's made from heat-resistant silicone, and will protect up to 300 degrees celcius.
The Orka name refers to a scientific term for a killer whale ("orca"), which it resembles if you put your hand in and get creative.
Orka is from French company Mastrad who pioneered the used of silicone for cooking. The little ridges inside their mitt mean it won't slip.
