The Sarpaneva Pot is the world's most acclaimed casserole dish. It was first created in 1960 by the late Timo Sarpaneva (1926 -1986) who was inspired by his blacksmith grandad. The pot went on to get its own postage stamp.
It's made in Finland from enameled cast iron, with a teak handle. The white enameled inside allows you to see your food better, whilst the teak handle allows you to lift or shift the lid, and then carry the pot.
The Sarpaneva pot has a three litre capacity, and works on gas, electric, glass ceramic, and induction stoves. And it's a stunner.
