The Bolz Sailing Top is one of two Bolz tops with a sound chip – pump it and you hear the lapping of water, and the sound of seagulls. And the lighthouse blinks, and a little man waves his flags.
Lorenz Bolz Tops invented the spiral grooved pump mechanism which makes their tops work. The base is also helpfull for making the top spin longer. Bolz is a family company based in Bavaria since 1888. These particular tops are made in China where there's a long tradition of tin toy excellence. The paint's definitely non-toxic.
The Good Store customers insist that the gull sounds featured on this top are actually British gulls. Blackpool and Cornwall expats take note.
