Scalextric Mountain Mayhem

Mountain Mayhem is the biggest Scalextric set measuring 9 metres in length and dimensions of 3.43metres x 2.31metres. It features the 'Sport' track system introduced in 2002. The tracks lock together easier for quicker setting up, and there's a better electrical connection for faster racing.

This set sees Greg Murphy's Holden against Craig Lowndes' Ford. And these cars survive a beating more than any other Scalextric cars – we run them every day at The Good Store.

Scalextric is the world's oldest slot car maker – beginning with a wind-up version in 1957, going electric in 1962, and culminating in 1966 where families all around the world were stepping over it to turn on the lounge room TV.

Slot cars are having a huge resurgance as a family game. Scalextric is also a way for petrolheads to have  a blast without actually paying for the petrol.
