The Crushed or Crumpled Cup is an ironic environmentally positive twist on the traditional plastic cup. It was created in 1975 and beautifully hand made in ceramic ever since.
Dutch artist Rob Brandt is a practising conceptual artist, and was barely out of university when he started making these. He's kept it up whenever the coffers get low.
Crumpled Cups stand 8cm high, measure 7cm across the top, and hold 100ml. Because they're hand-made, each one is unique.
These were almost impossible to get in Australia for most of 2008. Tra-La !!!!!!
