Alessi's Jalk Keyring is a truly beautiful way to keep your keys together. Thanks to its spring clip closure, keys can be easily added without breaking fingernails. It's also just as easily attached to clothing or bags. This puts an end to that exasperating fumble for keys prior to leaving a cafe or restaurant.
The shape of the Jalk is a 2007 adaptation of designer Steven Blaess's 2005 Australian Design Award Nominee, the Marli Bottle Opener. The two reference the same shape, which is based on the shape of a butterly.
Despite Alessi being an iconic Italian design company, Steven Blaess is an Australian who spent his youth far away from his current home in Milan. Blaess was raised in South Australia's remote central desert. Thus Jalk means "a key" or "crucial element" in an aboriginal language.
