The Pintoy Classic Black Solitaire Board Game is a time honoured game for people who like to be alone - as the name suggests, it's a game for one. (It has nothing to do with Solitaire the American card game. The card game is merely the British card game Patience given a hipper name).
Solitaire the board game dates from the Court of Louis xiv. The game starts with all balls on the board except in the very centre. Jumping takes place over marbles, like checkers, with marbles removed once jumped. The game is over when there's only one marble left on the board. The hard part is that one remaining piece must be in the central spot.
Creator Pintoy is a wonderful Thai company which manufactures from renewable rubber wood without toxins. They've long specialised in beautiful simple wooden games and puzzles
