Presso Espresso Maker

The Presso Coffee Maker is the simplest way to make a short black coffee. This is the machine for hard core lovers of espresso. Boiling water (from a kettle, billy, whatever...) is added to the top of the machine, the two arms are lowered, and the water is forced under great pressure through the ground coffee in the porta filler. Perfect.

The Presso is a modern mechanical design classic, invented by Englishman Patrick Hunt. The bits in contact with water and coffee are in stainless steel and chrome. The rest is in polished aluminium and is surprisingly light. Whilst being the no-compromise espresso maker, it's also perfect for anyone wanting a coffee on the move. It also comes with a basic milk frother for lattes, but The Good Store thinks it's a natural for the single shot espresso. It measures 30cm x 22cm x 13cm, weight 2kg. Campers and grey nomads love it.

This is also a Green choice. Electric coffee makers can be known to use more power than some fridges, especially when left plugged in. The Presso uses only enough energy to boil a cup of water.
