The Optimus Crux Camping stove is the smallest lightest stove in the world. It weighs a mere 93grams, and is ingeniously designed to fold and pack down and store in the base of a gas canister. In its carry sack it looks like a CD case, but smaller (84mm x 57mm x 31mm). Yes that's your basic small box of matches next to it in our photo.
Gas stoves are the best for camping. they're the simplest, safest, and don't taint food. The Optimus Crux has around 300watts of power and burns for one hour on a 220g canister LP 70/30 butane/propane gas. It will boil one litre of water in around 3 minutes in good weather at sea level. (Gas isn't included with the stove).
The Optimus company is Swedish and has been the world leader in real deal lightweight outdoor stoves for camping, trekking, and hiking, and has been since 1899.
