The Royal VKB Self Balancing Tray lets you carry drinks without spilling. You can open doors, scratch your nose, do the hokey-cokey and turn right around without slopping any drinks. It's wonderful for Australian summers and carrying drinks out to the patio, balcony, or bbq area. It's also terrific for carrying things safely around crowded parties, and negotiating stairs.
The Royal VKB Tray has a non-slip plastic surface, but the simple physics of holding the stainless steel handle over the centre of the tray is the design key. It's invented by the revered Dutch jeweller and industrial designer Gijs Bakker.
Manufacturer Royal VKB was founded in 1789 as Royal van Kempen & Begeer. The Royal is in their name because of their warrant to the Dutch Royal Family. Their no-spill tray measures 41cm x 5.5cm. The arm and handle fold flat after quickly loosening a metal sleeve.
