Kong Caribiners are the classiest most historically reliable way to attach something to a backpack, or a cord, or any kind of ring. They're Italian, made by one of the world's oldest mountaineering manufacturing companies.
The Kong company has been producing caribiners ( or 'connectors' as mountaineers call them ) since 1830 near Lake Como in Italy (yes before George Clooney moved in), at the centre of the Italian Alpinist and mountaineering community.
Kong's Mini Pear #755 carabiner carabiner is made from aluminium alloy, and is 6cm long. Each one has an individually tested weight bearing capacity of an amazing 150kg. It features their foolproof patented 'key lock' closure system.
