Handpresso Pod Espresso Maker

Handpresso Pod Espresso Maker is the first espresso maker to fit in your hand …or your pocket. It's light, highly portable, beautifully simple, and unlike big machines uses little energy in either its manufacture or its pump action use. And it's maintenance free and won't break down.  Just the shot (sic) for cyclists, campers, boaties, and trekkers everywhere. There are two versions of the Handpresso – one for loose ground coffee, and one for neat little no-mess coffee sachets. This version is for sachets (aka ESE pods).

Handpresso works easily. There's no electricity or batteries - you pump it just like a bike pump to gain pressure, add the pod and hot water. Then press a button. This is followed by the coffee emerging, a sudden 'sphssssh' sound and a final layer of crema. Magic.

Handpresso's inventor is the Danish born engineer Henrik Nielsen. He'd previously worked for Krups, and a European cycling company. He uses Leonardo's motto "simplicity is the ultimate sophistication". As a keen cyclist, it was the bicycle pump which inspired his coffee maker. The Good Store reckons it needs just travelling, outdoor cinemas, concerts, or picnics to inspire us to use it.
