Clocky is the alarm you have to chase, and forces even the heaviest sleeper to wake up. He goes off like R2D2 on red cordial to wake you, and jumps off your bedside table, then rolls to a random hiding place in your bedroom. You have to get out of bed to find him and turn him off. Clocky Chrome is the posh version for the 21st Century. A tad more expensive, but very shiny.
Clocky was invented by a student at the MIT as a project to create a useful product. Clocky has since become the only alarm clock to star on the Jay Leno Show. He's even on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZ_n6WT-1Gs …and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvNGnkY_S6I.
He can be programmed to work without rolling, and snooze time is variable up to nine minutes. Clocky is also robust enough to survive a lot of falls. Think of him as the world's first alarm clock pet – but without a feed bowl.
Above all though, as cute as Clocky is, he really is a darned effective alarm clock
