The Top Gear game is brilliant for lovers of the great British motoring (?) show. It says on the outside ... " it's just like the telly but in a tin." If you've never watched Top Gear you'll find this game totally bewildering. If the show's your thing, just a little alcohol can turn this game into a work of genius.
The idea is to move around a circular board and pass the finish line by a combination of dice throwing and answering the provided question cards from several categories.
The "Would I lie to You" category features questions such as "True or False, there are more F Series PickUp Trucks in the world than there are Australians ?" (It's true). A "How Hard Can it Be" category asks whether the Cadillac CTS is largely made from "bits of BMW, Bits of Saab, or Bits of Volvo (it's Saab). The "Cool Wall" challenge sees a card held up with a picture of a car, and the player must guess its cool rating.
Other cards around the board can be less challenging, but even more dangerous - such as the Hazard card which can penalise you points because you've been spotted driving a Fiat Panda.
Like most board games there a lot of luck involved here, but then so's life and this has less of the heartache.
