Spiegelau's Beer Classic Pilsner Glass is the crystal glass a beer drinker needs because it's German and nobody knows beer like Germans. They give it tax-free status and regard it as a food. Quite.
The Spiegelau Beer Classic is a deluxe range acknowledging that different beers need different styles of beer glass – in the same way that their Austrian stable mates Riedel created different wine glasses appropriate to different wines. Spiegelau have glasses for Lager, Wheat Beer, as well as Pilsner. Because Pilsner is the lightest coloured beer (it has no roasting of the malt) it benefits from a tall slim glass to enhance its colour and highlight its bubbles.
Spiegelau is the world's oldest glass manufacturer. Their beer glasses are dishwasher safe and absolutely do not cloud over time. They feel beautiful to hold, and are made from lead free crystal. They're very durable, but much thinner than regular clunker glass and are a joy to the lip.
Don't tell the Germans, but this is awesome for Mojitos.
The Beer Classic Pilsner Glass comes in a cardboard box of two glasses, or a "Keg" of six glasses.
