Hohner Marine Band Harmonica is the classic original blues harmonica. It indulges the urge to sit on the back step and wail soulfully at the moon. No other mouth harp gives the same warmth, feel, and sense of history in your hands.

Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter, and Sonny Terry all wailed the blues on this harmonica. John Lennon started 'Love me Do' and Beatlemania playing this; Bruce Springsteen's mournful harp solo on 'The River' was on a Marine Band, as was Bob Dylan's mighty squawking on 'Rainy Day Women.'

The Marine Band was first patented in January1896 by Jacob Hohner. It was named for John Philip Souza's marching band. Fortunately his harmonica soon fell into the wrong hands and was played by the African Americans who provided the foundations for rock & roll

There are several keys for harmonicas. The Good Store carries the C. Now, the Hohner Marine Band Harmonica comes with a free "How to Play" web download to make it possible for anyone to be a very cool harmonica player.
