Spork is a combo of the knife, fork, and spoon – the name a contraction of spoon and fork. It’s an overseas version of the famous Aussie Splayd. Amazingly, patents were first issued for a Spork in the USA in the nineteenth century.
The Atka company’s Spork is in heat resistant plastic so it won’t warp in boiling water. The spork is brilliant in office workplaces – it looks so weird that no-one can ‘accidentally’ borrow it. It’s also excellent for lunchboxes and car gloveboxes. And camping (that’s what it was intended for).
