The Cecily Scarf is the neck warmer that converts into a balaclava and scrunches down to very small between uses. It’s made from fine merino wool that will scrunch into the palm of your hand, but still expands out to do its job. The single piece construction also does its bit to keep out the cold.
This is a beautiful thing indeed for early morning joggers and walkers. Cyclists and bikers like it because it’s thin enough to go under a helmet.
The fabric for the Cecily scarf was developed in New Zealand for mountain climbers, but was discontinued. The Cecily company has nabbed the fabric exclusively for its wonderful Cecily scarves, and beanies (Gordon Warmers https://www.thegoodstore.com.au/d571-124/gordon-warmer/). And we’re all the warmer for it.
