CWA The Happy Jam Pot jams are proof the jams of childhood memories still exist : they’re simply fragrantly fruity gorgeousness. These jams really are made by the members of the Vic Park branch of The Country Women’s Association – putting lifetimes of jammy knowledge and taste into a jar. By hand.
These are loaded with fruit – up to 90% fruit content (while some commercial brands have as little as 20% fruit). The Happy Jam Pot jams also have deliberately lower sugar counts to make them healthier. The CWA has clever hacks such as using pineapple juice in some jams as a sweetener, rather than tonnes of white sugar *
Truly Happy jams are seasonal, depending on what’s good and affordable. Signature flavours in the range include: Citrus Marmalade, Apricot Jam and Apple Butter. Occasional Happy seasonal flavours including Mango, Raspberry Rhubarb, Queen Garnet Plum and others. All are made to meet or exceed current food manufacturing and labelling laws
The Happy Jam Pot jams are serious as well as happy. They’re everything that’s good about the Local Food Movement, and the tastiest way we know to reduce the carbon footprint – none of that long distance travel for them. They’re made in the kitchens around the corner.
For over twelve years, The Good Store has vowed to never use one particular over-used superlative, but we’ll set it free for The Happy Jam Pot jams : they’re AMAZING.
*being real and having less sugar means that sometimes Happy jams aren’t as firm as sugary jams (but oh-the-taste…). They also need refrigeration after opening. No they won’t last till next decade. Sad news is you’ll just have to eat them quicker- only because you care, of course.
