Man Bites Dog is a card game with words. Players are dealt a hand of five points value word cards. The idea is to sequence the words in a way to make the highest earning headline – such as used in newspapers. This can lead to very funny results.
Man Bites Dog is very good for traveling, and is a genuine family game easily played by anyone over 8years of age. It’s good for building vocabulary and comprehension. And good health – laughter is superb medicine.
The game was invented in 2003 by two friends – a former crime reporter, and an advertising executive. The University Games company which makes it is one of the world’s premier educational games companies. They’re based in San Francisco and road test their games in one of the local Montessori schools.
