DUE EARLY NOVEMBER 2018
Sugakiya Ramen Spoon & Fork is the tool for Ramen noodle lovers. The design allows the twirling of noodles on the prongs, and sipping of the broth with the large spoon.
This was developed by the Sugakiya Ramen chain in Japan for the faster more elegant consumption of ramen – and also to discourage the use of disposable chopsticks.
Sugakiya ramen restaurants were founded in 1946, and made their first attempt at a combination cutlery in 1978. It didn’t quite work, and was only suitable for right handers. With the help of designer Masami Takahashi, Sugakiya updated their Ramen spoon to celebrate their 60 year anniversary in 2007. And got it right.
It’s since been acknowledge as an outstanding example of contemporary Japanese design by MoMa New York. In dishwasher safe stainless steel.
Ramen is so hot right now. And it’s even hotter with the mighty Sugakiya Ramen Spoon & Fork.
