Sunbella Wildflower Parasol is guaranteed sun protection. The cotton/polyester canopy is rated* 50+ which provides 98% sun protection when getting about in Australia’s famously hot sun.
And it avoids Hat Hair.
A Sunbella is an elegant solution to making do with products which look a bit odd because they’re intended as umbrellas, rather than a sun-safe parasols such as this.
The two members of Sunbellas Wildflower Parasol range is their first to bear a decorative design – appropriately inspired by the Australian wildflower Burchardia Umbellata. Umbellata is latin for umbrella, and they’re the little shapes on the pattern which aren’t seagulls. The seagulls are there because they’re synonymous with summer to WA coast dwellers.
Distinctively, the pattern is on the inside of these parasols – where the user can admire it.
Sunbella Wildflower Parasols come with their own polyester sling carry case to reduce wear, ease of care, and ease of use. Each has a gently bulbous handle for comfortable carrying. And there’s a vent at the top to let air through, and stop breezes blowing it inside out.
Sunbella Parasols came about thanks to the efforts of a frustrated Perth mum Casey Bryden (and her own Mother). Casey used silk parasols at her wedding – and got sunburnt. Casey’s mum was a nurse specialising in sun-damaged skin. They vowed to design something that kept the sun at bay and did the job properly.
