Uncle Bill’s Sliver Grippers are legends for removing splinters – brilliant for woodworkers, anglers, carpenters, gardeners, needleworkers … and parents of babies that crawl .
The genius of the design is the little circular cut-out near the tip. It provides better grip by stopping the finger & thumb from sliding any further. Foolproof.
The sharp precise points of these 4.5cm tweezers , with machined edges and perfect alignment make it easy to grip small objects. They’re made in spring tempered stainless steel which means the metal is less brittle.
There really was an Uncle Bill. William H. Jones 1914-2006 took up tweezer making in his basement in 1980 on his retirement from engineering/ electronics firm Harper-Root. His Sliver Grippers are still made in West Hartford Connecticut, USA, and used by the Boy Scouts of America.
